My recently purchased TO-30 has a 6-volt system and two headlights, each w/two wires of about 8" that are unconnected. My ignition switch allows the key to be twisted to the right two clicks:the first click to
start the engine and the purpose of the second click position I'm not sure of,possibly a light switch?.I also bought a toggle switch and a roll of 14 guage wire. I have very limited knowledge as to how these lights should be connected to each other and ultimately to the switch.I was hoping someone might walk me through the steps necessary to complete this project. Thanks in advance.

Wiring the headlights is easy. You may also wish to get a copy of the Ferguson Furrows issue #9. This is the news letter of the "Ferguson Enthusisast of North America" and that issue covers the Ferguson Headlights in detail. E-mail Paul-AZ for info on getting a copy. Or visit the link below.

The basics are run a power line to your light switch. Then from the light switch the headlight powerline ran down behind the starter then along the left hand side of the oil pan. The wire ran through a tube that was attached with clips to the oil pan bolts. This tube terminated under the radiator (Left side) and the wires ran behind the grill to each light. The origional ground circuit was through the frame. However, this connection is not as reliable. Thus a ground wire may be necessary.
