Ihave been looking at a T-O tractor, The serial number on the plate says T-O 81 What is it? He says it fouls the plug on one cylider, What work do you think i would have to do to it?

I take it you got this number off the plate on the dash just above the steering column. If you did, TO-81 was a 1948 TO-20, the 81st off the line. With regard to the plug fouling it could be fouled by excessiveley rich fuel/air ratio (a black,sooty dry type fouling) or a wet, black, oil fouling. If it is as claimed, on one cylinder only, I would expect it to be the latter. Fixing it would mean replacing the rings as a minimum and posibly a new cylinsder liner. Pull all the plugs and verify it for yourself.
