does anyone have any tricks as to how I should ream or hone the new spindle bushings so the new spindles fit...manual says to line ream the bushings to 1.249-1.250 in.

Line bore or Line ream is to machine both bushes at the same time so they are perfectly parallel. If you try to do one at a time there is the danger that they will not match and when you fit or try to fit the new spindles and they will be tight or not fit at all. Maybe easier to take them to a machine shop and let them do it as they will be quicker and far more accurate, take the spindles with you.

Some auto part establishments will load such tools, providing you leave a deposit.

I used a brake hone to ream my spindle bushings.

Tim,do not use a hone on the spindle bushes as the grit from the hone willembed itself in the brass and cause excessive wear of the spindle.John
