TO-20 starter

It seems I've screwed up my starter real good.
I'll spare you the details so lets just say
that I don't have high hopes for getting this
thing rebuilt. So I have a few questions.

1. Where can I get another?
2. Is the TE-20 starter the same as the TO?
3. Is there a modern equivelant which will work?

Hi Dave -

My catalogs show the TE starter as a Lucas 12 v 25038. Also fits the 87 mm Standard gas engine in the MF35 and 135. About $300 Cdn, with a possible core charge.

Your engine is probably a Continental, with a Delco.

Central Tractor shows a 6 v Delco 1109457 for the TO series, at 1999 outright price of $173 US.

Thanks for the info. But I just got real lucky.
I called a local tractor shop and they had
two starters in stock,...112.50 U.S. with
my trade in. I had him set one aside for me.

But thanks again for the info. The CT price
was the next best that I've heard.
