Guy, I dont have any wiring diagrams whatsoever on those tractors, but can tell you from experience and as an engineer what I use, but realize some of this may be slight overkill but which sure cant hurt. 1) On 6 volt systems I use 00 Gauge Battery n Starter n Ground cables. 2) For most general light wiring like from light switches out to any lights, I use 14 Gauge. 3) On the main charging and voltage supply circuits, although 14 could work fine in a lot of places, I USE ALL 12 GAUGE WIRE. That would include the voltage feed like from the battery or starter switch or solenoid up to the ammeters Supply side terminal,,,,, ,,,the wire or wires to feed loads like lights n ignition which is often a wire from the ammeters Load side terminal to the BAT input terminal on the respective switches,,,,, ,,the wire from the ammeters Load side terminal down to the BAT terminal on a Voltage Regulator or a Cutout Relay,,,,, ,,,finally the wire from the GEN (or ARM) terminal on a Voltage Regulator or Cutout Relay to the Armature post on the Generator. 4) 14 gauge (or even 16) will suffice like from the Gens Field post to the FLD terminal, on the Voltage Regulator. 5) Coil Ignition Circuit. The circuit from the Ignition switches IGN output terminal down to any ballast resistor and/or or the coil and then to the distributor only carries like 4 amps and 14 Gauge (or even 16) is way plenty, although I sometimes use 12 for the heck of it lol. GENERALLY SPEAKING If you had no wire and only wanted to buy one roll, you could use all 12 Gauge and except for the charging and supply circuits (It may be a 20 amp Generator???) 14 will work in most other places, although even 16 Gauge would carry many of the typical loads.
