Got it started today, no oil pressure, can it be primed and how do you get to pump, is it a pressurized system. It sure not like my AC's. Will hunt manual if worth keeping. Thanks inadvance for your assistance. H.B.

Your oil pump shouldn't need primed. Either your drive gear is slipping, your relief valve is stuck open, or you have a leak in the suction pipe that is allowing the pump to suck air. Either way, best way to figure it out is to drop your oil pan. The pump is mounted to the front bearing cap, the relief valve is built-into the pump body. Check your suction line to make sure it is sound, might want to drop the pump (2 bolts... easy)and check the drive gear to make sure it isn't slipping on the pump shaft. The relief valve is just a spring loaded plunger, you will see a cotter pin holding it in your pump body, pull the pin, the spring and plunger should fall out in your hand.
A pump rebuild kit is easy to get from this site, and other places, ~$30-40, if needed. It includes a new drive gear, relief valve parts, bushings and pump gears and gasket.
Definitely want to get a manual. The re-print Ferguson shop manuals are better than the I&T manuals.

Pulled pan this afternoon, also pump, pin in pump gear is wore off alowing drive gear to turn within the pump. Must have been run that way, also found spun rod bearing in # rod. Got manual today so wil investige for futher problems before deciding what to do. Thanks for your assistance. H,B,

sounds like the drive on oil pump may have came loose
