Does the TO-30 take the same sure-seal as the TO-20??I can only find a listing for the 20.Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

I think that the TO30 had the seals fitted later in production, you would need to withdraw an axle shaft and count how many splines are on the diff end, the early ones without the extra seal have only 16, the later ones with the two seals from new have 19 splines and are thicker. If you have the later type leaking I think that the only way is to have both the seals changed or at least the one in the axle-housing. On the earlier one, providing the bearing is ok and not worn, you can safely fit the Sure Seals. Reading the parts list it suggests that the TO30 has the new axle but the safest way is to check one, you will see the extra seal in the end of the trumpet housing when you withdraw the axle-shaft.

Lee the TO-30 already has inter and outer seals where the TO-20 did'nt have the inter seals. The sure seals were after market and easy fix for the TO-20. Dave
