I"ve had this tractor for a year and had determined that it was a to35. It has no plate on the dash. It has hi-lo with 3 forward and reverse. It has 2 stage clutch(half pedal stops tractor, full pedal stops pto). It has tactometer, temp, and pressure gauges. The hood has door on top to refuel and check coolant. The engine is what has me confused. It has the external filter element. The casting number is Z1??-600A. The casting on oil pan is Z129... The number on the dipstick is z129...I saw somewhere that the to35 had the Z134 and not the Z129. There is a plate on the side of engine by the distributor with a serial number but I"ve been unable to find info on continental engine serial numbers. Could someone please help me determine what model and year of tractor I have?

Most likely you have a TO-35. Don't be misled by the casting numbers. Some of the castings used on the Continental Z134 engine were the same as those used on the Z129 engine. For sure you know you don't have a TO-20 or 30 since they had no dual-stage clutch and no dual-range transmission.
