i have just purchased furguson tractor with sieral no TE F343063 diesel. iam having trouble finding 3rd and 4th gear, start gear has been by passed.also need front tyres 6.00-16 and leaver to lift and lower 3pt linkage broken

You can still buy a new lift lever from Sparex through your local tractor dealer part number S66598 and if you need the plate that goes with it, that is part number S66515, the friction disc may be worn and that is S60635. The starter not working off the gear lever is possibly because they have broken the coupling on the start linkage in the top of the clutch housing, it would be easy enough to get one made and you can strip it down without too much trouble. You don't say what problem you are having with gear selection, it is possible that you have a broken selector, but usually it is number 1 and 2 gears. you will have to remove the gear lever to see if you can spot anything. Tyres are easy enough to find.
