Hello all:
Does anyone have any experience with replacing the wheel studs (press into the axle and hold on the wheel with lug nuts). I've got one that is pretty galled up, but I'm afraid to try to remove it as it still sort of holds a lug nut. I'm doing the brakes, seals and outer bearings so the axle is already removed, and thought this would be a good time to replace it. Any help appreciated.

I had to replace a wheel stud on my TO-35 a few months ago. I drove it out with a 2 pound hammer- it just took a few heavy blows. The new stud is drawn in with a lug nut until it's almost home (the shoulder of the stud prevented mine from being completely seated). I used a larger nut as a spacer, then the lug nut pulled the stud home.
