Serial number to year?

Is it possible to tell the year built from the serial numbers? It looks like the tractor serial number is TO58639. I cannot find the engine serial number.

Yes it is. Goto the Research and Info's Serial Number Page via the link on the left.

Based on your SN TO58639 you have a 1951 TO-20. One of the last made as the TO-30's started at SN 60000. To verify look at the left side of the engine, you should see a "Z-120" cast into the block. The engine Data plate is tucked up behind the starter (left side)
