One of the lift arms on my 35 broke last week. And it"s not the frst time.

When I bought the tractor, one of the lift arms had already broken and been welded. The weld has held up during the 10 years or so I"ve had the tractor.

The same arm broke again, but near the opposite end. And I"m wondering if it"s just going to break again if welded.

Just curious if you guys have welded these, and if you have any suggestions.

Do you reinforce the arm? Or just weld it back together?

I put new ends on both of my lift arms a few years ago. I beveled the lift arms to match the new ends. After each pass I ground the weld to get 100% penetration. I think I used 1/8 7018. They have had much abuse and are still hanging in there. (I did not use any reinforcement). Regards, Cosmo
