I have just replaced the injector pump on a TEF ferguson with the standard motor co engine. The question is how does one set the timing. The manual says to set the fuel cut of at 32 deg BTDC, where do you find the timing marks. The motor does run with the injetor pump set on the original timing stamp.

Rob, I take it that when you say the engine runs it's not running correctly? If it's near enough, leave well alone as timing is a very complex procedure. If you need any further advice, contact me via E Mail and I'll let you have the procedure - it's too long to post here. Pete.

I am in the process of restoring my TEF20. I have all most finished restoring the standard engine and I am almost ready for re-building. I have had the injection pump off to fit a new diaphram and as such I will need to time the crankshaft to the pump again. I do not have a manual so can any body help me?
