I"m looking at a TO20. Sheet metal"s good, tires fair, mechanicals unknown. Owners says it runs but "knocks".
My experience is mostly with the Ford version so I"m leary about parts availability for Fergies.
Where do you get parts for these critters? (in Central Ohio).
NAPA?
TSC?
Used stuff?
Any feedback appreciated!!!

I would guess that the knocking could be the valves. Simple to repair, just adjust the tappets with a feeler guage when the engine is cold. Get a manual to get the specs on the correct feeler gauge. Good luck.

The TO 20 uses a 124(?) Continental engine. I found I can get almost all of the needed parts for the engine from NAPA. Moye

Peter, where you at? I work in Columbus, live in Morrow County. You can get Fergie parts at this web site, and several others. You can get some parts at TSC, just depends what your looking for. Fergies have A LOT of parts in common with 8/9N's. I also have gotten parts from Ford New Holland in Columbus and Buckeye Tractor in Delaware... they usually have to order the parts thru Tisco but can get about anything you want. Massey dealers can get anything you might want also.

Hard to say what is causing the knock, might just be timing, might be worse.
