Hi Kory

I would agree with Jim W as to the casting date, however if it is a Standard diesel engine it will be the 23C engine, look on the right side as you sit on it and look above the starter motor, the engine casting date is there, also same side below the steering box is another casting date but upside down.
I have lots of history on file on this tractor and engine and would be pleased to help you on any questions you may have on it.

ps I'd take a guess you are in Canada?

It sounds like you may have a TO35 with the 4 cylinder Standard diesel engine that is the only tractor that meets the description that you posted that I know of.

If it's a TX- series Ferguson tractor, there should be a serial number stamped on a plate attached to the dash in front of the steering wheel. It'll TO-xyzabc, or TEA-xyzabc, etc. The other numbers you quoted are probably casting numbers and all tractors of a given design will use the same numbers with some sort of date code. Is there a data plate on the engine that tells the manufacturer and identifies the engine? If I were to make a gues based on what you have written, I'd say it was a TO-35 but I am unaware of them having a diesel. But there are more knowledgeable folks out there than I on these matters.

The last digit there on the casting would indicate 1958 as year of manufacture - I think. Maybe it"s an FE35 with a Standard Motor Company diesel. Where do you live?
Jim
