I posted this on the Massey board and it was suggested I post it here too:

I was using my TO-35 this morning and it ran out of fuel. Filled the tank and gave it a small shot of ether. It almost starts and then it just cranks. I read somewhere about pressurizing the system(?). Can someone explain this with detail, since sometimes I'm dumb as a stump. Or should I just wait for it to cool down?

It isn't pressurising the system its de-aerating the system I think you mean....that is getting all the air out of the fuel lines. Fill the tank and then remove the bleed plug from the filter or filters (one at a time) then pump the priming pump till the fuel comes out without any bubbles in it, don't pump it too hard or you will make bubbles. Get the filters clear of air then go to the main fuel pump and unscrew the bleed screw on the bottom part and repeat the same operation, then do it on the top bleed screw, once this is clear of air,slacken off the injector pipes at the injectors and spin the engine over with the fuel cut-off IN (so it will start) and when the injector pipes begin dripping at the injector nuts, tighten them up and the beast should start. You may need to change the filters if all the crud from the tank has gone into them.
