I was wandering exactly what tractor I had. I know it's a Ferguson. The serial # is TO-777. I'm trying to find out if it's a TO-20, TE-20, TEA-20, etc. Thanks

You have one of 1800 made in 1948, the first year of production. You should have some dates cast into the rear axle castings, one will be inverted as the parts are the same, just flip one over. You should also have a date cast into the side of the transmission case. I have # 692, some of the dates will be Oct or Nov. I hope you take good care of the Fergie, he is the amoung the first of a great line. I am in Iowa, where did #777 end up? Mike

Like Jeff said it is a TO 20 . I would be interested in the Continental Z120 serial # from left side of engine. I have a TO 20 also but my chassis serial plate is missing however my engine serial is Z120 101479 . From some features mine is early also but do not know just how early. Thanks!

Have you checked the axle trumpet housings for the date the castings were made. That will give you a clue, usually the castings were used within about 3-4 weeks, even less.

If the SN is correct. You have a very early TO-20. TE"s SN stare TE-###### and TEA"s start TEA-######

SN TO-777 was built in Detroit in 1948.

Jeff
