Hello All,

I seem to be having a carb problem that came out of no where. Everything was working great until today. After about 15 minutes of use, tractor started running real rough and finally died. I checked the gas and was a little low so filled it up and tractor started right up, I made it 15 feet and it died again.

I drained carb, and then applied fuel, but I am only getting drops out after what is in the carb drains. I checked input to carb and had good flow ( I seem to rember a peeing reference some time ago, that is what I have here ).

Should I have the same full flow out of carb drain? Do you think I need to take it apart? Should I just by a new one?

Thanks to all.

Check the elbow into the carb, there is a filter inside. you have probably got all the crud from the bottom of the tank in there coz you ran low on fuel. You should get a good flow from carb drain, it won't be as fast as the main line into the carb.

well, it was the filter you mentioned. Some carb cleaner and compressed air and I can see through it.
I am now running a little rough and have to adjust throttle occasionally, I suspect the carb needs adjusting since a good flow had been restored.
