The "clicking" noise you can hear in the hydraulics is most likely the two yokes in the pump rattling a little when the load is off them ( max lift) when they get a bit of wear in them some do this.Nothing to worry about though. About the spares, you are right, there are a lot more new parts available now than have been for a long time, some of these companies are realising just how much they can make from these tractors.

Isn't replacing the ring gear bolts fun?
Does the clicking occur only when the arms are in the fully raised position? I had something like this once and I think it was the linkage being out of adjustment. When the arms come right up the piston emerges from the cylinder, and is supposed to hit (and move) the control arm linkage which in turn moves the control valve, so it stops lifting. Otherwise I think you just have the relief valve blowing off.
That's all I can think of anyway, hope it helps.
Jim

thanx jim. yes it only in the fully raised position it clicks. the ring gear rivets i believe were the worst part of my whole ordeal.i believe im starting to see more tea parts available than when we started these projects.
