I was wondering if anybody knew where I could get an engine block for a TO30 Ferguson. I live in Michigan and I'm having trouble finding just an engine block or used engine. The motor was rebuilt about 5 years ago, but I'm getting antifreeze in the oil and found a crack in the block between the center two cylinders. Please let me know where I can get a block. Thanks for your help.

It's quite a common problem on the Continental blocks to have the cracking you're describing. It's usually caused by overheating. You might have an easier time getting the block repaired using furnace brazing, which is the common way to repair these blocks today. I have a remanufactured short block in my TO-30 that was repaired this way and it has run like brand new for the past 3 years. I know of other repairs on construction equipment engines that have used this process with equally good results. Talk to your local auto or industrial engine machine shop to find out how to go about it. Otherwise, look at the adds in this forum and also on ebay to find used blocks.
