how many of you guys order through Yesterday's parts section? I thought I would support the website for providing this great forum and have ordered several items-all disappointments.

I order a horizontal muffler assembly, I get only a muffler: unlike every other website out there where the mufflers come with the pipe needed-for less.

I order a manual-only to find out once I have already paid, that it will take three weeks.

I order a manifold, it comes with an adaptor to exhaust pipe, but no bolts for that adaptor.

Am I alone here?

I have ordered from the Yesterday's Tractors retail website (Alpha Tractor Services) and have mostly been satisfied. It appears to me that everything ends up actually being drop-shipped from one of many tractor parts distributors. Consequently, if you order a bunch of things you might end up getting multiple shipments at multiple times from multiple places. The last time I ordered parts to repair the rear axle seals, brakes and PTO shaft on my TO35 the resulting shipment dribbled in over a 10 day period of time in four or five different boxes. ATS also rarely looks at or responds to email questions, which is a little strange for an internet retailer. They also do not provide package tracking numbers, which I have become used to getting when I buy online.

Another online parts seller with which I have been very happy is>Link

With any of these places you are mostly getting aftermarket parts. Many aftermarket parts are of excellent quality, but some of of the probably ok, seems like it will fit, not exactly like the original sort. I am generally willing to live with that tradeoff to save money.

John

I have ordered quite a few parts off this site over the years. Several times I thought the shipping was kind-of slow, I'm talking 10-12 days shipping though, not 3 weeks, that really is slow.

This is still the first place I check when I need parts, I always got what I ordered.

On that manifold, I bought one here last year... but I got bolts and gasket with mine.

Sounds like your getting some crummy service in your area.

Hi Martin, I am afraid it all comes back to the guy who handles your order, doesn't matter how good the company is if he is useless then it can be troublesome getting the right parts. But it's no different to ordering from a dealer they have ding-bats on their counters too unfortunately. I think you just dropped on the wrong guy that day.But I agree with you it can be so frustrating.

Only thing, and the last thing, I will order was a manual for my tractor. I paid $120 for a very small hour manual which didn't tell me a thing. I ordered a service manual. I feel like I was totally ripped off.

I"ve ordered a couple things and have been satisfied... The parts actually came from a TSC tractor parts house nearby in Ohio. I suspect that your experience will depend upon which "warehouse" or "storage center" is used to supply your parts. Their "corporate headquaters" appears to be just one of those places.

Quoting from one of YTC"s web pages "... We ship to you from warehouses and storage centers located throughout the United States and from our Corporate Headquarters. With our low overhead, highly computerized ordering system and a small number of employees, we are able to present some of the lowest prices in the industry!"

Hope this helps... Jim

I ordered parts thru here and got Walt's tractor parts on the other end. Great service, price, and parts were just right.

I have ordered several parts from this site, and have been very satisfied. Most of there prices are better than most. One thing I might add, on my TO-20 when I replaced the exhaust manifold instead of useing the adapter for the original engine pipe I used a engine pipe/ muffler combo for a 135 massey. It bolts right up to the manifold without the adapter and looks factory.

Morning Martin
I have only ordered manuals for my 1952 TEA-2085 thru this site.1-Owners - 1 Parts - and 1 Service Manual. They arrived a month after I ordered and paid for them. They were all great manuals, very detailed to say the least. I have used them quite a bit since I got them. As far as ordering any big bulky items from a web-site. This is something that I shy away from. Always afraid of getting the wrong item and them having it take forever to return it and get my money back.

I ordered a pair of front rims for the old Dexta. I got SSB. The shipment took quite a long time, but for the price, the rims were excellent.
