The ID plate on my dash is stamped, Harry Ferguson TE 88796. What model is this? TE-20, TE-30, ect. I see many different models listed and dont know which I have.

It can't be a TE as they finished at 48,000. just what is the number and prefix on the plate on the dash...and what is the engine number...its between the coil and distributor either on a plate or stamped into the block

To determin if you have a TE-20 or TEA-20 look at which motor you have. TE's have the Contential Z120 in it (look left side of motor at bottom it will be stamped in the casting) If a Standard Motor it will have an external oil filter and the oil fill at the left rear of the engine.

It could be either as they were in transision between models at that time.

Based on the SN you gave I would expect that you will find the Contential motor.

Where are you located?

It's a Te-20 built in 1949. I determined that by looking in the serial number section of the Research & Info section to the left of this page.
