Question for restorers of TO35's

I am restoring a '59 TO35 and cannot find or think of a suitable substitute for the rubber boot that fits around the steering column where it goes through the dash.

I tried my MF dealer and his books say the part is obsolete. Have any of you gentlemen come up with a substitute or found an aftermarket source for this little part?

Sparex do a rubber boot for a MF35/35x which must be similar, the Massey part # is 890357M1 the Sparex number is S42589 you can order this from this site (the "S" will be shown last on here) or from your local tractor dealer who can order it from Sparex (if he is so inclined)

Several years ago another Ferguson owner from California indicated that a rubber spud washer he got from Ace Hardware did the job. It was Partmaster #9190. If they don't have it, I'm sure they could order it. They don't cost much so it might be worth a try.
