Hey guys, what is a good place to get fender skins for a TEA 2085?
I have one good one, but the other is pretty beat, I"ll buy new or used if someone has.
Let me know.

Hey bobcaygeon steve, I live close to that guy selling that 2085 loader. The times that I have talked to him, hes let me know pretty clearly that he feels he's the ONLY guy who can restore a tractor and put a loader on one.
He's also the only guy that can try and sell one for that much too!!

I just sold mine to David, Basically the identical set up. Mine wasn't quite as pretty but its in good running order. Where did he come up with $8146.02 US? Why not $8200.00???? Oh well if he gets anything close to that that means there is two complete wackos out there him and the guy who buys it.

What kind of loader setup did you have?, live hydraulics?
If so, what is the approximate volume of the pump you had on there?

I have a similar set up to Mr $8200. I have a Vickers pump mounted up front and hooked to the crank pulley. Its a Skyline loader with a hydraulic bucket. The whole thing works very well. I have a 6' Snowplow blade that mounts on the loader arms. It works great as well. The tank for the hydraulics is mounted to the left of the steering wheel and has the controls on top. I bought the unit as is. I just did some minor modifications. If your close to a Princess Auto Store you could probably get everything you need to get live hydraulics for under $500. Then you could go from there with whatever you want to use it for. The only problem is as I'm sure you have read here, the tilting hood, and depending how you hook your drive to the crank pulley, changing your fan belt could be a challenge.

Good morning Steve, As life takes its course I bought last week a early 40's MCCormick from a client that wanted a website built. Too funny. Fully restored, just need to pick it up? Got a trailer I can borrow : ) .....I guess my Pioneer Tractor Shed is coming together ; ) I am soon to have a few more then my wife would know about, thankfully she is heading to Cairo, Egypt for a break : )

Along with this I also bought last week a 1951 Pontiac Chief 2 door business mans coupe. God is it beautiful..... All original =- 1 owner and comes with historic plates! I bought it from me brother who s building a fully blown 57 chevy - 1000 HP no Nitro street rod.... imagine this it even has gull wing doors.. remote entry : )

Bobcaygeon Steve; I just spoke to Joe and he was wondering why the hood was strapped on instead of using the regular hinge assembly. I mentioned to him that the tractor had a loader on it.

He was wondering if since I am looking at replacing the hood should I also at this time replace the front end pieces that the hood hinges forward with? Are they okay and do they still have the hinges etc. on them that I could then simply bolt everything back together and use it as the hinged hood. My thoughts Steve are that maybe the hood could hinge forward if and when I lift the loader out of the way?

Thoughts?

Hi David,

Its not the loader itself thats in the way, its the front mounted Hydraulic pump that won't allow the hood to hinge forward. The actual hood and the hinge components are fine. About a third of the grill fins are missing at the bottom, and I assume this was done to make room for the pump, bracket and shaft etc.
I'm sure if you thought about it long enough you could come up with some way of tilting it again. As you know the hood is a little beat-up but the top and bottom could easily be bolted back together to be one again.
call me sometime and I'll give you my e-mail address for any other questions you might have. Just to make you sleep better, I have the plow for my truck and it will be operational this weekend so I don't anticipate using the wee fergy at all. However I will keep it covered and will start it and take a spin around the yard just to keep everything oiled and free.

Sparex do them, order through your MF or local tractor dealer. part number S 42068. They quote another number S60680 but I think that is for US produced tractors (TO20/TO30)
