My data plate is long gone. Is there a way to ID this tractor from engine serial# or Trans# etc....?

Your S/N is on the top of the housing, beside the gearlevel , or on the right side, near the "start button"

Go to posting on Dec. 12. Paul in AZ responded to my same situation. Use the link he left me. I e-mailed montes equipment and was able to find out when the motor was built and shipped and figured when it was put in tractor. Both people were a big help to me.

Were they able to tell you the tractor by s/n that it was installed in? It would be a shame if it can never be recovered.

No, just probable year motor was used.

Forgot to say, you have to have a Continental motor in it
