What are the correct colors for a 1955 TO 35? It is currently red and gray but I've heard it should be gray and green.

My source (former Ferguson factory rep) says Ferguson TO-35 original colors were as follows:

1954 SN 140001-140005 Gray/Metallic Dark Green
1955 SN 140006-167156 Gray/Metallic Dark Green
1956 SN 167157-171140 Beige/Metallic Flint Gray
1957 SN 171141-178215 Beige/Metallic Flint Gray
1958-59 SN 178216-201273 Red/Metallic Flint Gray

I have a '56 TO35 Deluxe that sure
looks like it was red and gray right
from the factory. The undersides of the
dash, fuel tank, everything is red. If
it's a repaint, someone was unbelievably
thorough. Looks like factory paint, too.
I also saw the website green/gray, but
my guess is it's wrong (maybe TEs were
green/gray and TOs were red/gray).

re: red paint- I read somewhere that the primer used on these older tractors was lead based and red in color. I've got a '57 TO-35 and while someone had painted it yellow, I've noticed that the areas you mentioned are red. I'm still researching... Roger
