Just started to work on my headlights found some type of reto-fit assembly. Looks to be a Hella. Is this good or should I change to something else, I plan to sandblast and paint first.

Steve...HELLA is an excellent lighting manufacturer. If you're restoring, by all means, go with origional. If you want to work, and see...stay with the HELLA. Good luck, have fun!! Mike

Steve, original lights were made by Hall. Don"t know what a Hella light is. But if you are going to the trouble of restoring, why not consider using original lights? On this forum. lights were offered by Scott Morrow, so he may have some to part with. He listed his phone number in his message, 4 or 5 down from this one.Phil(WA)

Steve,Hella lights are high quality aftermarket lights made in Europe. I'm not sure of the country, maybe Germany. I had a set on a '72 VW van back when they hadn't gone to halogen in the US yet. Was your TO 20 made in the UK by chance ?That could be a posibility

UK production used Lucas(The Prince of Darkness). Those Hella lights are probably worth some coin on Ebay if they are vintage and decent.
