My neighbor has a TO20 and I was wanting to do a compression check on the engine. However, I couldn't find the acceptable compression in his I&T Manual. Does anyone know about how much the compression should be when tested by using a gauge in the spark plug hole....Thanks in advance for responding.

Remember to open the throttle to the wide open position on an engine at operating temperature when you do a compression check. Pressures in the 100-110 psi range are good and should be within 10 psi between high and low. Lower than 80 psi and you need to do rings and/or valves. If you have low readings squirt oil in the cylinder (2-3 oz) and repeat test. If pressure is still low, valves need work. If pressures come up, rings are worn. If pressures ar low between two adjacent cylinders and don't change with addition of oil, could be a blown head gasket.
