Loader plumbing on TE20

I am trying to fit a quikie loader to a te20 but I"m not sure how to plumb it in. I"ve tryed to take pressure from the underside of the back end Taking a pipe from a 1/4 bsp port at the front of the bottom plate to the loader. is this right?

Depends on how old your tractor is because there have been a few changes to tapping off points over the years. But there is at least one on the square plate right at the bottom under the seat (this is actually the hydraulic pump) later ones had another point on the opposite corner at the front of this plate, later still they also had points on the top cover at the front of the seat at each side, they were plugged with an Allen screw type plug and were 3/8" BSP fitting. If you use the ones on the hydraulic pump be very careful that you use the correct adaptor to screw into the pump or you could strip it (it should be 1/2" x 20TPI) and use a proper sealing washer on it too. You need to prevent the lift arms going to the top of their lift or it will shut the pump off and there will be no pressure. Do not use drawbar type stays attached to the top link connection for this.You could attach them to the long hinged pin though and they do need to be strong.If you need more information email me at fergusontractors at hotmail dot com

If that's the same port I'm thinking it is, yes that should work. Mine has a nipple and valve threaded in there where the prev. owner ran a loader. I think there is another port under the seat that will work. However, the flow isn't that great, and for all but the simplest loaders, they will work real slow. Also have to chain down the lift arms or you won't get any pressure to run the loader.

some of the TE20 dont have the tap under the seat that Gshadel speaks of ,at least my 1949 dosent have any ,the best solution to put a loader on is using the front crank to power a front mounted pump or looking up Zane Sherman on the Ford site ,he puts together side mounted pumps that can solve your loader problem
