Are you giving up your tach drive to install the alternator or do you not have a tach?

Here is a diagram for a Farmall, but it is using a GM alternator so it will be the same. You can replace the lightbulb with a diode from Radio Shack if you dont want the charge light but you CANNOT simply leave it out. If it is omitted the alternator will not charge, if you just use a wire the tractor will not cut off.
