Does anyone have the specs/pictures for a TO 30 hand crank? I've searched the archives the internet, and eBay, but can find nothing specific. I, of course, can measure the main dimensions, but I'm not certain of diameters, crank pin placement, etc. A friend has offered to build an exact match if I can get him the info. Thanks.

I know I saw the specs in the archive one time because I have one half made. I used a piece of 3/4 inch smooth steel rod 3 feet long (common hardware store item). Also you will need a 5/16 x 1 1/4 inch roll pin (a solid pin would be better). Drill a 5/16 diameter hole in the rod so that the back edge of the pin is 1 inch from the end of the rod. That would make the center of the hole 27/32 inch from the end of the rod. What I don't know is where the bend starts and how long to make it. Obviously, if you insert the rod with the pin through the grill all the way into the engine one can get a good idea of where the bend needs to begin. I just don't know how much offset is there should be. Hope this helps and good luck !

Thanks. A friend of mine who is a high school shop teacher said he thought he could make one if I could get him some basic measurements to get him started. Thanks for this info.

I appreciate it, and may take you up on it if I can't get one made. It's a high school shop project. How much are you asking for the crank you have?
