Help!!!!Trying to change the oil filter on my TE20, removed the plug and bottom plate and can see something that appears to be the bottom of the oil filter, It is springy when you push up on it, but I can't get it out of the oil pan. Any help would be appreciated.

It should just pull straight down. Newer filters have a clip on the bottom that can be swung down and used to help pull the filter out. Some models may also have a screen that surrounds the filter and this can also make the filter hang up somewhat.

When I install a new filter in my TE20, I also get a new O ring for the plate and use gasket sealer on both sides of the O ring.

Good luck

I have to back mine out as if it was threaded, there is no threads but this seems to work.
