Is a z134 head compatible with the z129 head? I had my engine rebuilt at a semi-local shop. He said my head was cracked and he could locate a new one. The new one was magnafluxed and dubbed good. I believe the new one is off of a z134 engine (head says z134a6001 on it). I believe the oil channel to the rocker arm is different, so the rocker isn't getting oil. It has bent a valve push rod. Does anyone know about this or does anyone know where I can find out. I would like to have my ducks in a row before I confront the rebuilder. Thanks in

Hello

I had this problem once.No oil to the rockers. The problem was one of the main bearing was put in wrong.I dont remember which bearing feed the oil to the top of the engine, but it was put in with the oil hole faceing the bearing cap and not the block.I think the heads are the same.I dont think the head is the problem. How many hours did you run the engine after overhaul.
good luck Lance

The TO-30 uses the continental Z129 Engine and it's head is not even compatible with the Z120 engine so I would seriously doubt that it would be compatible with the Z134 engine. Try www.montesequipment.com. I'm sure they could tell you.
