I recently bought a Ferguson TO-30 or so I was told. The Ser.# is TO-55434. When I look it up in the ser. registry on this web sight the only numbers that comes close to what I have is a model Ford-Ferguson 1941 which starts with ser.#47843. 1942 starts w/ ser.#92363. So I'm assuming I have a Ford Ferguson what?? Can anyone help me w/ this??

Billy is correct. You have a TO-20. Oil filter should be inside the pan. The TO-30 filter is on the side of the block. "TO" stands for Tractor Overseas, meaning made in USA instead of Great Britain, and it definitely is a Fergie not a Ford-Fergie.

Does the number on the block begin Z120... or Z129? The latter indicates a TO-30 engine, and the former would be a TO-20 engine. Only thing I can think of off hand is someone replaced the steering box and dash, and therefore you have the serial number from another tractor (if they didn't remove the old serial number plate).

Look the serial number up in the Research and Info section of this forum on the left hand side.
