I don't have an answer, only an assumption... Sounds like somebody swapped engines and for some reason, capped off where the filter should be. My '30 has a canister for the oil filter which extends to directly under the carb. Like Bruce, the number on the block says Z1290600. Maybe the following will help.Good Luck,
