Before I start my TEF20 I squirt some WD40 into the air hose leading from the air-filter to the manifold. The engine turns much easier doing this, but does this in any way damage the engine? Thanks,
Robert

No, but it won't help solve the cause of the bad starting, either. You do use the decompression lever, don't you?

Do you use the excess fuel button on the fuel pump? If you do, then do you use the heater and Ki-gas? Really you should not use anything to start it, it will only get worse.
