i did mine a few months ago and it was cast also it is heavy and i had to fight with it to get it to line up ,your sockets may not have room to work on some of the studs either ,i had to build a small frame to put on my jack and after using a center punch i got it to line up make sure you turn it around to try it both ways and take your time ,i complained to the place i bought it and they said it came from India , so too much of this crap is floating around our market ,after i got it on it was ok
good luck
by the way mine was on a te20

TO-20 1949. I hit a stump in tall grass and thought that replacing it was the way to go. I bought a replacement from Val-U-Bilt however, it was casted metal instead of stamped.

ok. i have used two of them and had to use the old pan as a pattern to ream out some holes and a std. socket did not fit some bolts would hit the side of pan so just take a older socket and grind the sides down you don't need a lot tork on them as for the pan it sure is a lot better then no pan at all

Well, I was hoping for a magic spell or something. I have fiddled around with thing for a couple of weeks hoping that i wouldn't have to worm the holes out. But i knew it was coming.
However, I will end on this note. There sure is a load of crap out there. Granted I guesss I am lucky to have found a replacement in the first place. I'll be up and running soon.
Back to laying on my back in the back yard!!!
Thanks for the solidarity guys!!!
