I am pleased to say that I completed the overhaul on my TO-20 today, though after using it to mow for a few hours the entire time I kept hearing a noise coming from the engine and it took me awhile to figure out what it could be. My head has new valves, springs, etc. since the springs are new and they are still tight could I be hearing this (noise of the rocker arm pushing on the springs) through the engine if this isnt it then I dont know what it could be, there doesnt seem to be any performance issues with the engine anymore. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Your valve adjustment may be too loose and the valve is being tapped by the rocker arm adjuster screw. (The spring should be in full contact with that side of the rocker arm.)I have my # 1 valve a little too loose and it makes a ticking sound. Better too loose that to tight. At least you don't burn a too loose valve.
