Newly purchased Ferguson 30, TO-67169. Lever on left side of engine below steering wheel and forward of left foot rest. After pushing lever forward, the transmission was dis-engaged and will not re-engage. Any suggestions? Also, any info on year and manuals would be appreciated.

Yup, Fred's right, sounds like a Sherman type auxillary tranny. That being an aftermarket thing, won't find any info on it in a Ferguson manual. Try this link below.... if I did it right... it has some info on Sherman's. I got this link from one of guys on this forum. It's really a Ford N websight, but the Sherman info should all be good.
You can order a manual off this web sight, look for the link at the top of the page. Couple guys on here sell some manuals too I think. I see manuals on Ebay all the time, just do a search for "Ferguson". Get a re-print of the Ferguson manual, not the IT manual. I have both, the Ferguson manual has a lot more info in it.

Sounds like you got a sherman or other aftermarket gear arrangement on her...you just got it out of gear...play with it till you get it back in gear...It"s a step up/down kind of gear arrangement. You might have to have the engine running and definately push in the clutch...it might even grind a little as it goes in. Fred OH

Correction,the lever is on the left side of the transmission case forward of the left foot rest and just behind the bell housing from the engine block.
