I have read that the recommended oil is MF1103. However, I cannot find this spec oil. I have read that MF1129A is an acceptable substitute. I have found an oil that says it is recommended for use in Trans- Hydraulic systems requirein MF 1110, 1113, 1129A PermantranIII etc. along with lost of other Brand specs.

On the front it says it is a modified 20W-40 oil. It does not say GL-1, GL5 or any thang else but is good for what seems like all but MF1103 Spec.

Please help.

John, don't know where you are. 80-90W mineral oil, GL-1, or GL-5 is pretty easy to get at TSC (tractor supply co. ) if you have any of those around you. I've seen many posts saying that oil is sold at many Wallmarts,,, but it does not happen to be at my local Wall mart. It is usually sold in 5 gal pails for ~$35-$40 or so.
Might be able to get it, or order it thru an autoparts store, like NAPA or whatever.

Hi John, M1103 is GL1 80 or 80w90 oil. The permatran you mention is ok if your hydraulic pump is good and you have no leaks. Permatran is not M1103, it's those other numbers. It is really light too, good for winter, but not summer if your pump is worn. It's also called TDH fluid. I use GL1 80W90 straight mineral oil in my 35. Shell Dentax is the brand name I use. Other companies make equivalent oils.

Rob, it's so thin, it will leak out through gaskets, seals, the PTO shaft seal, and the pump can't pump it too well if it's worn too much. Especially in hot summer weather.

I called the oil distrubitors, they have Shell Dentax, and other name brands....

But only in 55 gal. drums for $500.00

What is a boy to do
