Just mounted a loader on my rebuilt Fergie and getting ready to test it. It was a used loader and one cylinder feels springy, like there's air in it. How do I make sure that both the cylinders and hydraulic lines are free from air? I tapped into the top connections that are just below the front of the seat. One other question, should I use hydraulic oil in the transmission or just 90 weight oil? Thanks

The air will work its way out when the clyinders are fully extended if they are two way clyinders.

It's best to use Transdraulic Oil because it has anti foaming additivies and extreme pressure (hypiod) additives for the ring gear and pinion. The cost is very little more.
