TO-35 Carb Adjustments

Need some help on adjusting the carb, seems to run ok but a little low on power,Just did a ring job, cleaned the valves, new points, plugs, wires, coil, condenser, cleaned fuel tank. Before I did any work it started right up but smoked therefore the ring job, After it will still start but takes some choking and cranking.
How many turns should I go on each set screw.

Hi Tom. Start with both screws about 1 1/2 turns out. Set the throttle to half way and turn the high speed screw (the large one facing the front) until the engine smokes, then slowly turn in until it just stops, then idle it down and turn the idle set screw until the engine runs smooth. Mine is about 1/2 turn open. Set your spark timing to 6 deg advance. Hope this helps.
