How do I get my thermostate gauge working?

The tractor appears to run okay, but the temperature gauge does not work. Is the problem the gauge or the actual thermostate?

Does anyone have experience with the temperature measurements on TED-20 tractors.

Thanks,
Leslie

Sparex do a temperature gauge for that, part number S4341 see your local Sparex dealer. It will be the gauge the thermostat will not make any difference to the reading on the gauge other than a variation in temperature. If you do replace the thermostat in a TED it needs to be operating in the region of . From 75 - 85 deg. C to 95 deg. C. I would think that the parts are also available from this site too.

The temp gauge is operated by an ether filled bulb that screws into the top hose/stat housing - usually the pipe/tube full of ether connecting the bulb to the gauge gets broken and it stops working. Easy replacement, and cheap, around 15GBP

If it isn't boiling over, don't worry.
