Will any car engine work on a MF35 to replace the Continental Z134 engine? If so, where can any needed conversion pieces be purchased? Also, where can a good used Z134 be purchased at a reasonable price? Thanks for any replies. Joe

While others have tried "Automobile Engines" in tractors in the past with mixed results, Iwould reccomend fixing/finding a good Z134 Engine, The engines in our tractors are part of the Stressed Body (Frame) of the Tractor, Auto. engines usally have motor mounts to hold them in place. While Many small 4 cly. auto engines are rated with more power than our 35 horse power engines,They must run at a much higher Rpm to be happy,While you would be hard pressed to find a More durable engine than a Z134 that can run all day againist the Governor (2100-2200 RPM) and last many Years.
