TE 20 PTO Drive Shaft broke

Shaft broke while brush hogging, pulled shaft out, will the T0 20 shaft fit. Will the new shaft go right back in, or is there some trick to get the spline to line up on the inside. And, other than that, is there a 12V conversion kit for TE20. My 6v just does not have enuf juice to turn the starter anymore. Thanks...Doc

I agree with Jim on his comments. No need to do a 12V conversion. If your battery and starter cables are not "0" or "1" gauge or they are old then consider replacing them. If they are this big and in good shape then clean the terminals and all connections. Bright and tight and it will make a world of differance.

The TO and TE use the same PTO shaft.

Pretty sure the TO20 shaft fits. If not, one from a Ford 2N does for sure. It just slides in; you may have to turn it or wiggle it a bit but no tricks involved.
No need to go to 12 volts; probably less expensive to get your 6 volt system working. They work great when in good shape. Clean connections are critical. For starters try running your ground cable from your battery directly to the bolt that holds your starter to your block.
