I went to look at a F40 and found a TO30 also. The F40 is in good shape, its a standard. It comes with a Brush hog but the seller is willing to sell just the tractor. Its painted red and silver, decent but weathered tires. The only leak or wet area was around and down below the steering arm as it goes forward. Tin is ok with a few bumps. The middle section on the front screen is ajar forward and not sure why. There is a hole in the left fender, looks like an area to store things. Price with hog is $3500 US. What would this bring, any ideas? Oh the serial number is 40690I. What does the I stand for?

Now the TO30. Has new tires. Looks OK but it has tin issue. Both front side panels are a mess and the right fender has more waves in it then the Jersey shore. Otherwise its not to bad. What would a good price be for this?

Both run well and no smoking.

THe SN is 406901, making it a 1957. The F-40 sounds like a better tractor. Chances are it has a dual-stage clutch, hi-low 3-speed tranny and would have live hydraulics.
