Steve, why be afraid of an excellent workhorse? I don't have knowledge of a loader on a '30' but if everything checks out OK, the price here in Pa. wouldn't be way out of line.

steve1943;

Why be afraid of the Continential engine? Unless someone abused the tractor and it would have a cracked block. We ran a TE-20 for 12 years and a TO-30 for 50 years with no problems.
We did do an inframe engine overhaul 1 time on each tractor.

Steve, Do not be afraid of this engine. The Z 129 was produced by Continental for Fergusen tractors--but also for many other commercial applications including military equipment and industrial applications (oil rigs, generators, etc) Parts are cheap and you can still buy the short blocks for a very reasonable price. I have a TO 30 and a TO 20 and have never had a down day!
Good Luck,
Tom
