I shot my first turkey today after many years of trying. It weighted 19 pounds with 22 MM spurs. I have to tell someone. :-)

Sounds like you had a great hunt. I have had my best season this year.

Morning John
Turkey hunting doesnt open here in Ontario until next Monday. I have them all around my farm. Last year I got one that weighed 22 lbs. That was my 1st. Im not sure what the regulations are in the USA , but up here we can only hunt them until noon each day. Congratulations on yours. Its a great sport next to deer hunting.

Congrats!! I don't hunt 'em, but I've got a buddy going out this Saturday (season just opened in NE) and he gets one every year!! I'll tell him about yours and tell him he's got to beat 19 pounds, and 22mm spurs!!

Enjoy it!!
Dana
