I had already drained and refilled by tranny and then came upon some posts about the number of drain plugs. As a result I have to drain it again as the new oil in contaminated with the remaining water and sludge. This time I will do it right and remove all plugs and use diesel fuel to flush the system. From reading the posts it is mentioned that there are 3 drain plugs for the tranny/diff/hyd. On my 1959 TO35 Special I can only find 2 with none located on the differential. Am I going blind or is there only supposed to be 2.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Robert

On the TO-35 there are only 2 drain holes. At least I never found a 3rd on my 1955 model! I think the earlier (TO20, TO30) had 3 drain plugs.

After you drain from both holes, you should need 8 gallons to fill it back up.
