TO 20 horsepower

As you can see below, there are many points where the HP can be measured. i.e the little lawn tractors sold at the home centers are claiming 20HP... obviously a riding lawn mower does not have the power to pull a 2 bottom plow.

I am not sure where you question is comming from... ie. if from a research perspective then the below numbers are of interest.

If your looking to compare which tractor will meet your needs then questions about which tractor has more HP are not as relevent. As both tractor will perform the same for most all tasks. The TO-20 is better for some, while the 8N will be more convienent for others. However, these diffenences are minor and a choice should be made on price, and condition.

This puts the 8N between the TO-20 and TO-30 steve

dbhp would stand for drawbar horsepower.

PTO horse power is usually a little more then drawbar hp. I dont know where brake horsepower is measured at but I think it is higher then PTO or drawbar hp.

According to my Ferguson Manual, in Nebraska Test No. 466, the TO-30 developed a corrected horsepower of 30.27 corrected belt horspower
and a peak torque at 1100 rpm of 107ft-lbs. In Nebraska Test No. 392, the TO-20 developed 26.5 corrected belt horsepower and a maximum torque of 88 ft-lbs at 1200 rpm. Don't have the
results for an 8N.
